Printable charts for the sizes crafters look up most: yarn weights, hook and needle sizes, blanket sizes and quilt sizes, each in imperial and metric with a quick converter or calculator where it helps.
Quilt sizes for every bed, with a mattress size calculator.
Answers: What size quilt fits my bed, and which batting package goes with it?
Where the numbers come from
The yarn weight chart follows the Craft Yarn Council's Standard Yarn Weight System, published at www.YarnStandards.com. Hook and needle conversions use the standard millimeter sizes printed on tools. Blanket and quilt sizes are common sizes from published size charts; they vary a little between sources, so each chart says so and the matching calculator lets you enter your own measurements.
Using the charts with the calculators
Each chart links to the calculators that use it. For example, once you know your yarn weight and blanket size, the blanket yarn calculator turns them into yards and skeins, and the quilt calculator turns a quilt size into backing, batting and binding.
